A beautiful smile can enhance your appearance and confidence. With an extensive background in advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Andrews creates the most natural, durable, and esthetically-pleasing result. Teeth that are discolored, chipped, cracked, or misaligned can often be corrected in just two appointments. For a smile that you’ll wear with pride, his recommendation may include one or a combination of techniques.
Dr. James Andrews has always been committed to saving patients time, provide optimal comfort, and ensure exceptional results. To support that, he added CEREC 3D some years ago. This technology allows Dr. Andrews to create a finished crown as soon as the tooth is prepared. This eliminates the need for patients having to wear a temporary, return for a second visit, go through a second numbing, etc. This also enables Dr. Andrews to place the crown and ensure it’s a precision fit and shade without having to rely on a dental lab.
Dr. Andrews recently added CEREC’s latest technology to boost it’s efficiency and outcome. CEREC AC with Omnicam captures full color 3D digital images from a small camera that can scan anywhere inside the mouth. The images are sent to CEREC software that Dr. Andrews uses to formulate precision crowns, dental implant restorations, bridges, inlays, inlays or partials – all in a single visit!
New CEREC software also creates a surgical guide, especially beneficial for dental implant patients. The guide determines precise locations, depths, and angles for each implant. This not only enhances the success of the implants being placed, it eliminates the need for ‘flaps’ to be cut in gum tissue. Because the guides are so exact, Dr. Andrews can gently ‘punch’ through gum tissue at each exact location. By minimizing disruption to gum tissue, patients enjoy enhanced comfort with minimal healing time. Once the implants are placed, CEREC AC then creates the final teeth to be attached as part of the process!
These latest advances in CEREC’s technology are tremendous advantages for patients, whether having a single crown or a full arch of dental implants.
Dr. Andrews provides a full-range of services that support your goals for a confident, beautiful, healthy smile. In addition to regular preventive care, mercury-free fillings, extractions, sealants and fluoride treatments are provided as needed.
Sore, bleeding gums indicate the beginning of Periodontal Disease. If left untreated, discomfort, bad breath, and eventual tooth loss will result. Extensive research has detected a link between gum disease and heart disease, low birth weight babies, stroke, and diabetes. If indication of gum disease exists, Dr. Andrews offers a non-surgical treatment for various stages of gum disease.
Occasionally, a tooth’s nerve chamber develops infection, requiring a root canal to save the tooth. This treatment cleans the infected chamber and repairs the damage to maintain a healthy tooth.
Dr. Andrews is skilled in the latest endodontic techniques. These require less time and are more comfortable than former methods.
